The wind had kind words for me today. I rode relatively fast and took a few long breaks, the last of which was in Soldotna just a bit back.

I always end up short on sleep when I stay with people, excited to do so much. I’m into the beautiful Kenai Peninsula now and back on a nice, simple schedule.

Population density is increasing drastically. Visited the visitor center, museum in Wasilla. A pleasant evening at Reflection Lake in the Palmer Hay Flats

Spent most of today in Talkeetna, fell in with the raft guides. I rode a bit out in the evening.

It can be hard to remember where the day began. Can’t say why it should feel so long, doing the same things all day. Ride, eat, look at mountains, wander, chat.

I had a wonderful extra stay in Fairbanks with lovely people. Felt good to get moving again today, started heading south. I’m stopped 25ish miles beyond Nenana.
