I always end up short on sleep when I stay with people, excited to do so much. I’m into the beautiful Kenai Peninsula now and back on a nice, simple schedule.

Population density is increasing drastically. Visited the visitor center, museum in Wasilla. A pleasant evening at Reflection Lake in the Palmer Hay Flats

Spent most of today in Talkeetna, fell in with the raft guides. I rode a bit out in the evening.

It can be hard to remember where the day began. Can’t say why it should feel so long, doing the same things all day. Ride, eat, look at mountains, wander, chat.

I had a wonderful extra stay in Fairbanks with lovely people. Felt good to get moving again today, started heading south. I’m stopped 25ish miles beyond Nenana.

Smoke was worse today. I needed a new tire patch by mid morning but the first lasted over 100km. Stopped for a bit in North Pole, then on into Fairbanks!

Today was quite warm. I cooked some tasty food and saw a moose and cooled off in a river in the afternoon. Stopped for the day about 15 miles shy Delta Junction
