Slow day. Social morning. When i set out promptly snagged front bag, destroyed rack. A close shop let me in early and sold me half a rack. Meandering day since.

Breakfast with the EMS guys before hitting the road. Many miles. Walking around indiana dunes now

I got started early, beautiful morning. Headwind most of the day and some rain, but nice again now. I don’t mind slow going. At the White Pigeon fire station.

Onward west. Had a warm sunny day! I’m traveling on US 12, michigan ave, which has gotten more pleasant as the day went on. But no turns till chicago…

Nice day. Saw many birds, took a ferry, found a fork. The US was just as foggy as i left it. Detroit is huge and i got quite lost. Staying with a friend.

Lovely weather. Made it into Buffalo, hanging out here for the rest of the day.

Woke up early, hung out a bit, left late. Crossed into NY. So flat up here. Lake Erie huge and frozen and lovely. Staying in Dunkirk tonight

Cold rainsnow day. Slow going, many breaks, bought myself lunch hoping mittens would dry. Sun came out late afternoon which was pleasant, but still snow on ground. Wimp, staying with some folks from warmshowers in Erie

I’ve had a good first day, stopped for now near Mercer

Last wet weekend trip with Chris. Mostly didn’t even rain, pleasant ride to Ryerson Station yesterday. Exploring the park today, and plan to ride home tomorrow.
